New Triad DF tactical
flashlight
Bolstered by ongoing adoption
and feedback from major law
enforcement agencies, ASP is
unveiling major additions and
upgrades to its workhorse Triad
family of tactical flashlights.
Most notably, the new Triad
DF is hitting the market with
550 lumens – more than a 20
per cent brightness increase over
its predecessor – as well as the
addition of an onboard, tri-colour
charge status indicator.
The Triad’s “double tap” feature
drops the light down to 15
lumens with a quick second press
of the tail cap switch, and the
flashlight is Dual Fuel – letting
users swap out the included
18650 rechargeable battery for
two optional single-use CR123A
cells.
New money-saving
flashlight packages
ASP has added a series
of flashlights packaged in
configurations that offer a new
pricing tier for dealers and end
users. Customers now have the
option to buy several of the
company’s most popular highperformance,
Dual Fuel tactical
lights in two different ways: either
in ready-to recharge format, with
lithium-ion battery and a full kit
of charging accessories, or with
just single-use (primary) batteries.
The new primary cell kits save
around $30 at retail, and can be
upgraded to full Dual Fuel utility
down the road with the purchase
of the also-new, optional Charge
Kit. ASP is initially launching
its Triad, Tungsten, Pro and
XT light models with the new
configuration/price-point options.
EXpanded collection of
Tactical Light Cases
The Tactical Light Case (TLC)
is ASP’s unique, hand-free
illumination accessory. It attaches
to a belt and holds an ASP
flashlight bezel-down – protecting
the lens and LED components –
and can be rotated 360 degrees,
through 12 click-stop positions.
This allows the light to be aimed
in any direction, while freeing the
hands for other tasks.
ASP is expanding the TLC
offering, now offering cases for
its Triad, Turbo, XT, Poly, Pro,
Tungsten and Guardian families
of tactical lights.
