With 10 years’ experience of the biggest
companies in the Turkish firearms
industry, Ertugrul Saydamoglu and Berat
Ozan Ozsahin have established their
own trading company – EGE Group.
GTW finds out more.
“ e company will trade in the

rearms business as well as hunting
equipment and ammunition,” says
co-founder Ertugrul Saydamoglu.
Ertugrul also hopes his new company will
join the lucrative defence industry within the
next few years.
Its o ce is located in Atasehir Uphill
Towers, in the Asian side of the bustling city
centre of Istanbul.
“Istanbul has many advantages with its
location as a bridge between Europe and
Asia which gives you the possibility to trade
with Australia and US within the same day.”

e company has been busy creating
its own rearms brand called EGE Arms
to cover almost all the product range of
shotguns – from single barrel to side by side,
over and under, semi-automatic (both inertia
and gas operated), pump action, magazine
fed, bullpup and lever action with di erent
calibers and stock options such as synthetic,
camo or ne Turkish walnut.
Air guns and blank pistols are also within
the product range. e product portfolio of
the company is growing everyday with the
diversity of its manufacturers sourced from
all over Turkey.
“Turkey is one of the biggest rearms
manufacturing country in the world,” says
Ertugrul.
“ ere are several big factories that
produce shotguns, pistols, ri es and their
accessories. EGE will be a connection
between these manufacturers through the
distributors and importers we know all
around the world.”
OEM manufacturing of products and
parts for big rearms groups and brands
worldwide will be also target of the company.
EGE has its own quality control team
to check each customer’s order prior to
shipping.
CIP and SAAMI standards are met by
the suppliers of EGE, which demonstrates
the quality level customers can expect from
the EGE products.
e owners state that the most important
criteria for their business is trust and that is
why they have chosen the motto of “Reliable
Trading” which is placed just under its
company logo.
10 years of experience in total has given
Ertugrul and Berat a signi cant time in the
rearms business, which has developed and
grown during many customer meetings,
international fairs like SHOT Show, IWA,
IDEF, Eurosatory and local fairs like the
Game Fairs in UK and France.
Now the company will serve this network
on a trading basis by adding a marketing
and branding perspective to compete with
di erent players in di erent markets.
EGE Group will be present at both the
SHOT Show and IWA, where you will
