MOLIX
CONVENTION 2018 Italian tackle manufacturer Molix welcomed its Pro team and
selected customers to preview of some of its latest tackle
developments. TTW found out more…
Molix has managed
to establish itself
globally by producing
100 per cent Italian
designed fi shing tackle
products but especially
its lures and its annual
convention in Monterenzio,
a village in Bologna last
month (November), allowed
both Molix and ProTackles
to showcase their latest
news and highlight
upcoming projects.
Each year the attendees
– the Pro team and selected
customers – arrive from
across Italy with passion
and to see their input
into the products, which
is publicly acknowledged
during the presentation of
the new items.
The meeting is also an
opportunity for everyone
to discuss individual
experiences in saltwater
and freshwater alike, which
really provides a great
insight into future products
and developments.
KEY PRODUCTS
The Fioretto Speciale rod
series has been in a testing
phase for 12 months and
will come to market early
in 2019 while the wellknown
Skirmjan EVO rod
that was designed for
saltwater fi shing has been
developed with an improved
performance.
The latest lures were
on show including baits
that have been created
with limited edition USA
and Japanese colours with
prototypes of the TW110B
Super Sound lure that uses
different materials to create
different sounds under
water. All of these products
have been imagined with
serious knowledge, input
and research from both
Spanish and American Molix
professional anglers.
As in any event, there
have been awards, images
and videos showcasing the
work, the products and how
they have been created
from the initial idea. It’s
been a thorough journey of
careful design, development,
prototyping and endless
testing on the water to
reach the fi nal goal.
