“It seems 2018 is going to be our record year
in terms of quantity and turnover,” says
Abdussamed.
“We are expanding our sales network all over the
world by adding new customers to our portfolio.
It is not always easy to fi nd new contacts when
the world is not in a good economic condition
and most countries have political problems
with each other. Even so, we are focusing on
advertising and new products to draw the
attention of diff erent markets to our products.
“Apart from our shotgun markets, we are also
trying to discover new opportunities from the
international defence industry and, in this regard,
we attended Eurosatory Defense Show held in
Paris in June and another defence fair, SEDEC,
held in Ankara in July. As a result, whilst we
are preserving our current markets, we are also
widening our perspective and looking for new
areas to grow into,” continued Abdussamed.
“We have some new shotguns we are working
on and planning to launch at the beginning of
2019. We have a remarkable market share with
our inertia model, Renova. But there is a high
demand for gas-operated semi-auto shotguns
too.
“So, one of the new products to be launched

in 2019 will be an eye-catching model in terms
of its look and technical features, allowing us
to get a bigger share from semi auto shotgun
markets.
“Another point we are working very hard on
is to prepare our rifl e, Ovis, for mass production.
Ventus Woodcock and Renova Woodcock
versions will be ready to be marketed for Turkish
hunters very soon. Th e other new product will
be an air rifl e that we have recently completed.
We be launching this product with the Eff ecto
brand in the near future.
“Our best sellers are the Renova (inertia semiauto)
and Ventus (over and under). Analysing
the market needs and listening to customers are
the fi rst step for us before starting any R&D
process.
“Th ere are so many gun manufacturers in
Turkey and in other countries,” continued
Abdussamed. “Hence, your products have to
create value for your customers to compete
with your competitors. Th is the only way to
create value for your customers and distributors.
Renova is an inertia semi-auto model with its
improved mechanism that allows you to shoot
very well with diff erent loads. Th e barrel has an
extended bore diameter (18,75) that we called
Ex-Bore and the chokes are 7mm in length, to
give better penetration and pattern. From the
butt plate to the muzzle type, all parts of Renova
have been specially designed.
“All those extra features are built on a shotgun
that weighs only 3kg, which is the most used
specifi cation to allow hunters to carry their
shotguns easily, especially during upland hunting.
“Ventus is an over and under shotgun
produced in 12 gauge with a steel frame and
auto ejector system. Ventus weighs only 2.9kg
and is also the most attractive feature of this
model. As the features of these products fi t
perfectly the needs of markets, we have gained a
competitive advantage with Renova and Ventus.
“We have started to construct a new building
as our current factory building won’t be large
enough for our future plans. Also, this year, we
have bought three more vertical CNC machines
from Japan. Most importantly, we have also
been investing in human resources by hiring
new engineers and technical staff . We are aware
that technology is the key factor that shapes our
future.”
